Officer Danita Marsh Receives Deed to New Home

Officer Danita Marsh, who was critically wounded and paralyzed while investigating a domestic assault case nearly three years ago, is the proud owner of a newly constructed Nashville home.

The 100 Club of Nashville today presented Marsh with the deed to her specially built residence during a Home Dedication Celebration at the North Precinct.  Chief Ronal Serpas and 100 Club President Reed Trickett also awarded certificates and Metropolitan Police Department Chief’s Coins to representatives from a number of area businesses for donations of manpower and supplies to the home construction process.

Officer Marsh was ambushed and critically wounded while assisting a domestic assault victim on October 27, 2006.  In the days after the shooting, The 100 Club of Nashville committed itself to assisting Marsh regain some of life’s choices by financing and arranging the purchase of accessible housing and a specially equipped vehicle.

The 100 Club was founded by the late Bill Trickett and the late John T. Johnson nearly 30 years ago to aid the families of Nashville’s police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty, as well as officers and firefighters who receive serious, traumatic and disabling injuries while working to protect our community.
