New Officers Graduate
The Metro police department’s officer ranks grew by 39 November 2, 2008 as the city’s newest police officers graduated from five months of training, received their badges, and took the oath of office at Christ Church in South Nashville.
The 39 members of the graduating class began training on June 2. The new officers will spend the next five to six months with precinct field training officers before patrolling the streets by themselves.
