Commander Danny Baker Retires

East Precinct Commander Danny Baker today retired from the Metropolitan Police Department, bringing a distinguished 36-year law enforcement career to a close. 

“During my nearly three years as chief, Commander Baker has consistently exemplified himself as a caring and consummate professional,” Serpas said.  “I am very proud of Commander Baker’s dedicated career and tremendous accomplishments over the years, as well as the accomplishments of all the men and woman who have had the opportunity to serve under him at the East Precinct and elsewhere.”

On his last day at work, Commander Danny Baker received a case containing all of his Metro Police Department badges over his 36-year career.  Pictured at the case presentation (l-r) are Deputy Chief Steve Anderson, Baker, Deputy Chief Honey Pike, Deputy Chief Joseph Bishop and Chief Ronal Serpas.
