Arrest warrants charging murder and attempted murder have been issued against convicted felon Ronterius D. Roberson in connection with gunfire at Willow Point Apartments in South Nashville Sunday night that killed Alvin Howse and wounded Clifton Broadway.
Roberson, 27, who, like the victims, is from Madison County, Tennessee, is believed to be in the Atlanta area. South Precinct detectives learned that Roberson’s mother drove him to Atlanta on Monday.
The investigation to this point shows that Howse and Broadway, both 35, came to Nashville to take part in a drug transaction. Roberson did not travel with them.
Roberson was convicted of felony marijuana possession and evading arrest in Madison County in 2000, and felony cocaine possession in Madison County in 2006.
Ronterius Roberson is considered to be armed and dangerous. Anyone seeing him or knowing where he may be is urged to contact South Precinct Investigations at 862-7763 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Persons can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES), or by going online to www.nashvillecrimestoppers.com. Those who contact Crime Stoppers qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
