FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 26, 2009

The man killed in Saturday night’s collision on the I-40 west exit ramp to Old Hickory Boulevard is identified as Scott Horton, 32, of Wildberry Lane in West Nashville. Horton’s next of kin was located and notified late Sunday night.

Horton, driving a 2001 Dodge Neon, cut in front of a Honda CRV in an effort to exit the interstate, clipping the front end of the Honda in the process. Horton lost control of his car, skidded across the exit ramp and off the roadway. The Dodge struck a rock embankment, spun around 180 degrees and turned over before coming to rest on the driver’s side. Horton was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene of the 7 p.m. crash.

The driver of the Honda, Joseph Rogoski, 47, of Nashville, was not hurt.
