Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s precincts, charged 104 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 24 people this week as a result of investigations on Old Hickory Boulevard, Hutton Drive, Annalee Drive, and Hickory Hollow Place.  Seized were 2.2 pounds of cocaine, 82 pounds of marijuana, four vehicles and $32,850 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 20 persons this week as the result of investigations on Center, Lafayette, Lewis, and Claiborne Streets, University Court, Old Hickory Boulevard, Bell Road, Murfreesboro Pike, and Central Pike.  Seized were 6.8 grams of cocaine, five grams of marijuana, 160 various pills, one vehicle and $78 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on 17th Avenue North at Herman Street, Jefferson Street, 28th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, 21st Avenue North at Hermosa Street, 12th and 29th Avenues North, and American Road.  Seized were 460 grams of marijuana, 83 Lortab pills, and 29 grams of cocaine.

North Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on 34th Avenue North, Meharry Boulevard, 33rd Avenue North, 40th Avenue North, 12th Avenue North, and Ewing Creek Drive.  Seized were 103.9 grams of cocaine, one gram of marijuana, two vehicles, and $1,086 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 13 persons as the result of investigations on Litton Avenue, Dickerson Pike, and Trinity Lane.  Seized were 2.4 grams of crack, 20 Dilaudid pills, .5 grams of marijuana, 57 morphine pills, 20 Soma pills, 10 Valium pills and 20 Xanax pills.        

Central Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on North 1st, Oldham, Cowan, and Lafayette Streets, and Rosa Parks Boulevard.  Seized were 4.5 ounces of cocaine, 40 Xanax pills, three vehicles and $381 cash.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
