North Precinct detectives tonight charged a 15-year-old with attempted homicide for shooting his friend, 16-year-old Rodderick Gordon.
Gordon was standing in front of 1719 16th Avenue North when he was struck by a single gunshot at 3:45 p.m. He was transported to Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt where he is in critical condition.
The 15-year-old is charged in Juvenile Court. He maintains he did not intend to shoot Gordon.
