The man killed in a single-car crash early this morning on I-24 at the I-440 overpass is identified as Marbin Alexander Rivera, 30, of Nashville.
Rivera was driving a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo eastbound on I-440 when the SUV traveled off the roadway and went over the retaining wall landing upside down next to I-24 below at 2 a.m. He died on the scene. Rivera, the lone occupant in the Isuzu, was wearing his seatbelt.
Speed appears to have been a contributing factor to this fatal accident.
