Three persons were arrested, and a warrant issued for a fourth, after officers responded last night to shots fired outside a Park Dale Drive residence during an apparent drug-related robbery.
Shawna Adkins, 19, told detectives she drove Jose Kelly, 21, to the Park Dale Drive home of Christopher Shade, 35, and Sandra Reid, 31, to purchase marijuana at 8 p.m. Kelly allegedly attempted to rob Shade at gunpoint but fled after a brief struggle. Shade told police he retrieved a shotgun from inside his home and fired at Kelly who ran to the getaway car with Adkins behind the wheel. Adkins drove Kelly to Southern Hills Medical Center where he is being treated for non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
Adkins, of Banbury Drive, is charged with aggravated robbery. She was issued a misdemeanor citation in June for marijuana possession.
A warrant charging Kelly, of Trousdale Drive, with aggravated robbery will be served once he is discharged from the hospital. Kelly’s previous arrest history reflects convictions for burglary and marijuana possession.
During a consent search of Shade and Reid’s residence, officers discovered marijuana and prescription drugs. Both are charged with felony marijuana possession and unlawful possession of prescription painkillers and drug paraphernalia.
Reid, a convicted felon for burglary, also has previous convictions for assault, burglary, public intoxication, forgery and DUI.
