Precinct-based undercover detectives charged 131 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

West Precinct detectives charged 22 persons as the result of investigations on Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard at Jefferson Street, 12th Avenue North at Herman Street, 12th Avenue South at Hawkins Street, Clifton Avenue at Lena Street, 28th Avenue North, and Long Boulevard. Seized were 16.5 pounds of marijuana, 55 Lortab pills, 29 Xanax pills, 28 grams of cocaine, 14 grams of hashish, 5 vehicles, four weapons and $8,978 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 10 persons as the result of investigations on 6th Avenue North at Church Street, 6th Avenue South at Lafayette Street, 6th Avenue South at Mulberry Street, North 1st Street at Oldham Street, and the 300 block of Wallace Road. Seized were 2.5 pounds of marijuana, 1.5 ounces of cocaine, 136 pills, $9,212 cash, 2 vehicles and 1 pistol.

South Precinct detectives charged 30 persons as the result of investigations on Glenrose Avenue, Neal Terrace, Murfreesboro Pike, and Lafayette Street. Seized were 8 grams of cocaine and 1.25 pounds of marijuana.

East Precinct detectives charged 21 persons as a result of investigations in the 1800 block of Dickerson Pike, Lischey Avenue at Vernon Winfrey Avenue, the 1000 block of Pennock Avenue, and the 3000 block of Doverside Drive. Seized were 1.3 grams of crack cocaine, 29 grams of marijuana, 30 Lortab pills and $822 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Anderson Road, Lewis Street, Claiborne Street, Fairfield Avenue, Elm Hill Pike, Murfreesboro Pike, Donelson Pike, Village Green Drive, Andrew Jackson Way, and Lafayette Street. Seized were 7 grams of cocaine, 26 grams of marijuana, 44 pills and $314 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 23 persons as the result of investigations on Old Hickory Boulevard, Masonwood Avenue, Jefferson Street, Underwood Street, Florence Avenue, Rio Vista Drive, and Brick Church Pike. Seized were 5 grams of cocaine, 4.25 pounds of marijuana, 17 Ecstasy pills, 5 weapons, 1 vehicle, and $1,552 cash.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
