
Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s six precincts, charged 131 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 27 persons as the result of investigations on Nolensville Pike, Isabelle Lane, Edmondson Pike, and Wallace Road. Seized were 1.8 pounds of marijuana, 1.1 grams of cocaine, two weapons, one vehicle and $2,481 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Capital, Lafayette, Cannon, Lewis, Fain, and Carroll Streets, University Court, Charles E. Davis Boulevard, Bell Road, Emery Drive, Old Hickory Boulevard, and Murfreesboro Pike. Seized were 8.5 grams of cocaine, 105 grams of marijuana and one weapon.
West Precinct detectives charged 27 persons as the result of investigations on Berkley Drive, Priest Woods Drive, 25th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, 33rd and 49th Avenues North at Charlotte Pike, and 17th Avenue North at Jefferson Street. Seized were 18 pounds of marijuana, ten grams of cocaine, 25 ecstasy pills, 220 Lortab pills, one vehicle and $2,784 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations on 11th, 17th, and 12th Avenues North, Owen Street, Edgewood Avenue, Creekwood N, and Brick Church Pike. Seized were .2 grams of cocaine, 9.5 grams of marijuana and one weapon.
East Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on the 2900 block of Dickerson Pike, North 5th and North 2nd Streets, and Hody Drive. Seized were 33.9 grams of cocaine, 8.7 ounces of marijuana, 25 Lortab pills, one weapon, one vehicle and $1,067 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Drexel, Jefferson, Oldham, and Lafayette Streets, Ewing Avenue, Rosa Parks Boulevard, and 7th Avenue South. Seized were 24 grams of cocaine.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
