South Precinct detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who threatened a CVS manager with a knife as he left the business on May 6th with stolen merchandise.

The suspect, a black man in his 30s, entered the CVS at 4709 Nolensville Pike at 10 a.m. He picked up a shopping bag, filled it with items, and then attempted to leave the pharmacy without paying for the merchandise. When the manager tried to prevent him from leaving, the suspect threatened him with a knife. He fled in a blue 2004 Chevrolet Venture minivan.

Anyone recognizing the suspect is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Citizens can also send an electronic tip to Crime Stoppers by texting the word “CASH” along with their message to 274637 (CRIMES). Persons who contact Crime Stoppers by phone or text message can remain anonymous and qualify for a cash reward.
