The man killed in this morning’s two-car collision on Whites Creek Pike near Sycamore Creek Road is identified as David Henley, 34, of Oxford Street.
Henley was driving a 1995 Pontiac Bonneville northbound on Whites Creek Pike when, for reasons unknown, he crossed into the southbound lanes and collided with the driver of a 2008 Nissan Altima at 7 a.m. Henley died at the scene. He was not wearing his seatbelt.
The driver of the Nissan, Amy Guerrero, 35, of Springfield, Tennessee, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she is in critical condition. She was wearing her seatbelt.
No evidence of alcohol or drug impairment was found at the scene.
