Undercover detectives, assigned to the department’s six precincts, charged 129 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Paragon Mills Road, Wallace Road, Shasta Drive, and Waycross Drive. Seized were 1.75 ounces of cocaine, five ounces of marijuana, and 40 Oxycodone pills.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 22 persons as the result of investigations on University Court, Murfreesboro Pike, Elm Hill Pike, Greystone Road, Old Hickory Boulevard, Bryan Street, Shute Lane, Tulip Grove Road, and Charles E. Davis Boulevard. Seized were 8.2 grams of cocaine, five grams of marijuana, 112 various pills, four weapons, one vehicle and $3,002 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 33 persons as the result of investigations on 30th and 23rd Avenues North, Buena Vista Pike, 37th Avenue North at Park Avenue, and 12th Avenue South. Seized were 31 pounds of marijuana, eleven grams of cocaine, 19 Hydrocodone pills, ten morphine pills, three weapons, one vehicle, and $2,295 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, Jefferson Street, Brick Church Pike, Trinity Lane, Cornish Road, Forrest Park Road, Devonshire Drive, and 14th Avenue North. Seized were 46.3 grams of cocaine, 4.5 grams of marijuana, one weapon, 41 various pills, and $828 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Pennock Avenue, Dickerson Pike, Lischey Avenue, and Oak Court. Seized were eight grams of cocaine, seven ounces of marijuana, 35 Lortab pills, 135 Soma pills, one weapon, and $1,027 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on Lafayette Street at Ewing Avenue, 7th Avenue South at Middleton Street, Donna Kay Drive, Riverfront Park, Ash Street, and 6th Avenue North at Church Street. Seized were 28 grams of cocaine and one weapon.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
