Illegal drug activity and robbery appear to be connected to this morning’s murder of 28-year-old Terrell Lamont Dickerson inside his apartment at 1233 Lewis Street.
The investigation by South Precinct detectives shows that four men forced their way into the apartment at 12:30 a.m. and shot Dickerson after demanding money and drugs. Nearby police officers were summoned by a friend of Dickerson. He died shortly after arriving at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Anyone with information about this case is urged to contact South Precinct Investigations at 862-7763 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
Dickerson was a convicted robber and received a six-year sentence last September. He also had convictions for domestic assault, misdemeanor cocaine possession, and assault in Nashville. He had felony cocaine convictions in Williamson County.
