Youth Services detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in locating 11-year-old Pablo Tablada-Nunez, who surveillance tapes show leaving Antioch Middle School through a rear door at 2 p.m. Wednesday after he got into trouble over school work.

Police officers have been searching for the boy on the ground and in the air since Wednesday afternoon. Pablo’s mother reports that he has run away in the past, and that he apparently took $20 from her purse before leaving for school Wednesday. A friend of the boy said that Pablo talked of running away if got into trouble at school.

The last time Pablo ran away, he was located in the vicinity of Nashboro Village on Murfreesboro Pike. The Reverse 911 phone system was activated during the night to alert persons in the vicinity of the school that Pablo was missing. There have been no reported sightings of him since he left the school building at 5050 Blue Hole Road.

Pablo, who lives on Garden View Court in Antioch, was last seen wearing a pullover white shirt, khaki shorts, and red, white and black tennis shoes. He is 4’7” tall, weighs 85 pounds and has black hair.

Anyone seeing Pablo since Wednesday afternoon is urged to contact the Emergency Communications Center at 862-8600.
