North Precinct detectives continue in their efforts to identify the persons responsible for Saturday night’s murder of 17-year-old Allaric Javon Buckner in the courtyard area of the Millennium Apartments on Seifried Street.
Buckner, of Gartland Avenue, and a 16-year-old friend were standing in the courtyard area at 10:50 p.m. when, according to the 16-year-old, they were approached by two individuals, one of whom was armed with a pistol. He said Buckner was shot during a robbery. The 16-year-old ran from the scene and was not injured.
Anyone who potentially knows the identity of the gunman and/or his accomplice is urged to contact North Precinct Investigations at 862-7901 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME. Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and are eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
