Undercover detectives, assigned to each of the department’s six precincts, charged 107 persons this week with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on Piccadilly Row, Tampa Drive, Whispering Hills Drive, and Perimeter Park Drive. Seized were 24 grams of cocaine, 1.2 pounds of marijuana, two ounces of mushrooms, one vehicle, and one weapon.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged eleven persons as the result of investigations on Stewarts Ferry Pike, Penn Meade Way, Lebanon Pike, McGavock Pike, and Elm Hill Pike. Seized were 470 grams of cocaine, five grams of marijuana, eight various pills, two weapons, one vehicle, and $855 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 29 persons as the result of investigations in the 3700 block of Park Avenue, 12th Avenue South at Summit Avenue, Dr. D.B. Todd Boulevard, Jefferson Street, and American Road at Thunderbird Drive. Seized were 91.2 grams of marijuana, four grams of cocaine, and three Lortab pills.

North Precinct detectives charged 18 persons as the result of investigations on Rivergate Parkway, Nolensville Pike, Roger Williams Avenue, Gallatin Pike, 16th and 21st Avenues North, Whites Creek Pike, Knight Drive, and Dickerson Pike. Seized were 7.3 ounces of cocaine, 20.5 grams of marijuana, one gram of heroin, one weapon, two vehicles, and $4,248 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on Dickerson Pike, the 700 block of Douglas Avenue, the James Cayce public housing development, the 1500 block of Ward Street, and North 9th Street at Smiley Street. Seized were .6 grams of cocaine, two grams of marijuana, 2.5 grams of heroin, and $1,963 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged 12 persons as the result of investigations on 8th Avenue South at Drexel Street, 4th Avenue South at Chestnut Street, 6th Avenue South at Lafayette Street, Oldham Street, Spring Street, and Jefferson Street.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department’s 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
