The man found shot to death at 8:50 p.m. Thursday in the 900 block of 6th Avenue South has been identified through his fingerprints as Brandon S. Coons, 21, who may have been homeless. A citizen discovered Coons lying on the sidewalk. The circumstances of his murder remain under investigation.
Coons was arrested in the same area in September for prostitution and last month for possession of a crack pipe.
Anyone having information about Coons and/or the person responsible for his murder is asked to contact South Precinct Detective David Achord at 862-7687 or Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
