Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 115 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

East Precinct detectives charged 15 persons as the result of investigations on Gallatin Avenue, South 6th Street at Shelby Avenue, Grace Street at Joseph Avenue, and the Dickerson Pike area. Seized were 1.2 grams of cocaine, 11 grams of marijuana, 11 Dilaudid pills, and 500 various pills.

South Precinct detectives charged 26 persons as the result of investigations on Valeria Street, Murfreesboro Pike, Peachtree Street, and Fesslers Lane. Seized were 8.5 grams of cocaine, nine ounces of marijuana, one weapon, and $1,376 cash.

West Precinct detectives charged 21 persons as the result of investigations on 12th Avenue South at Horton Avenue, 28th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, 12th Avenue South at South Street, Archer Street, and Charlotte Pike. Seized were 30.6 grams of cocaine, 68.5 grams of marijuana, and $458 cash.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 20 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Briley Parkway, University Court, 4th Avenue South, Mulberry Street, and Spence Lane. Seized were one gram of cocaine, one gram of marijuana, ten various pills, one gun, and $400 cash.

North Precinct detectives charged 31 persons as the result of investigations on Jefferson Street, Ewing Lane, Trinity Lane, Brick Church Pike, Gallatin Pike, North Dupont Avenue, Old Hickory Boulevard, Crouch Drive, Edgebrook Drive, Bubbling Well Road, 28th Avenue North, Illinois Avenue, 40th Avenue North, and Delaware Avenue. Seized were 24.6 grams of cocaine, 14 grams of marijuana, 58 various pills, one weapon, and $462 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged two persons as the result of investigations on Harding Place at Antioch Pike. Seized were 14 grams of cocaine, five grams of marijuana, and a quantity of Ecstasy.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
