Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 121 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.

South Precinct detectives charged 28 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, McMurray Circle, Hillside Avenue, Briley Parkway, and Mildred Shute Avenue. Seized were 18 grams of cocaine, ten grams of marijuana, three weapons, and one vehicle.

West Precinct detectives charged 26 persons as the result of investigations on Jefferson Street at D.B. Todd Boulevard, 14th Avenue North at Ireland Street, 12th Avenue South at Southside Court, 21st Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, the 5200 block of Charlotte Pike, and 28th Avenue North at Herman Street. Seized were 35.9 grams of cocaine, 551.4 grams of marijuana, and one weapon.

Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Fesslers Lane, Millwood Drive, 4th Avenue South, and Lewis Street. Seized were four grams of cocaine, over four pounds of marijuana, and 50 various pills.

North Precinct detectives charged 17 persons as the result of investigations on West Hamilton Avenue, Kings Lane, Kingview Drive, Marshall Street, May Drive, Idlewood Avenue, Gallatin Pike, 3rd Avenue South, 2nd Avenue South, East Palestine Avenue, Walton Oak Drive, and Florence Avenue. Seized were 11.2 ounces of cocaine, 2.2 pounds of marijuana, 250 various pills, three Ecstasy, six weapons, one vehicle, and $21,809 cash.

East Precinct detectives charged 25 persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, Shelby Avenue, the 3700 block of Burrus Street, South 6th Street at Sylvan and Boscobel Streets, the 1000 block of North 5th Street, the 1400 block of Gartland Avenue, Gallatin Avenue at Seymour Avenue, and Trinity Lane at Dickerson Pike. Seized were 4.4 grams of cocaine, 600 Dilaudid pills, four Xanax pills, two vehicles, and $3,242 cash.

Central Precinct detectives charged one person as the result of an investigation on

North 1st Street at Oldham Street.

Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
