
Fatal Crash investigators have determined that the Murfreesboro man killed in a motorcycle crash Memorial Day on Interstate 24 struck a vehicle causing him to lose control of his motorcycle and skid off the Interstate near mile marker 62 at 1:15 a.m.
Motorists in the area saw a motorcyclist and a small dark car traveling at a high rate of speed shortly before Zarry Ellis, 27, of Grassland Drive, ran off the Interstate.
Ellis was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died from his injuries.
There was no evidence of alcohol involvement at the scene.
Anyone with information concerning the vehicle Ellis struck at the time of the accident is asked to contact the Crash Investigation Unit at 862-7738.
