Fingerprints have led to the identification of the woman found shot to death at 5:25 a.m. today on the side of Briley Parkway’s Ashland City Highway off ramp.
The TBI matched the victim’s prints to a record in its database a short time ago. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
The victim did not have any identification on her person, but a receipt from the Rivergate Wal-Mart store was found in her clothing. A check of Wal-Mart’s video surveillance system shows that the victim was in the store at 6:10 p.m. Sunday. She arrived in a large white car, entered the store alone, and purchased keys.
Anyone seeing the victim after 6:30 p.m. Sunday or having information about her murder is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
