
Undercover detectives assigned to the department’s six precincts this week charged 119 persons with mostly drug and prostitution offenses as the result of investigations in various Nashville neighborhoods.
South Precinct detectives charged 14 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Kline Avenue, Collins Park, and Lewis Street. Seized were 55.5 grams of cocaine, four pounds of marijuana, and 27 various pills.
West Precinct detectives charged 32 persons as the result of investigations on Jefferson Street, Southside Court, 16th Avenue North at Jackson Street, Meridian Street, 40th Avenue North at Charlotte Avenue, 28th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, and Susannah Court. Seized were 27.7 grams of cocaine, 57 pounds of marijuana, one weapon, approximately $1,500 worth of electronics, and $952 cash.
Hermitage Precinct detectives charged 22 persons as the result of investigations on Murfreesboro Pike, Fesslers Lane, Claiborne Street at 4th Avenue South, and Millwood Drive. Seized were 5.5 grams of cocaine, 55 pounds of marijuana, two weapons, and $10,380 cash.
North Precinct detectives charged 24 persons as the result of investigations on Westchester Drive, Long Hollow Pike, Gibson Avenue, South 11th Street, Cannon Street, 40th Avenue North at Clifton Avenue, 44th Avenue North, Old Matthews Road, Liberia Street, Dickerson Pike, Trinity Lane, and Manzano Road. Seized were 10.5 ounces of cocaine, 68 grams of marijuana, two weapons, and $9,694 cash.
East Precinct detectives charged 23 persons as the result of investigations on North 2nd Street, Fatherland Street, Shelby Avenue, South 5th Street, Trinity Lane at Meridian Street, Dickerson Pike, Gallatin Pike, Riverside Drive at Rosebank Avenue, and Jones Avenue. Seized were 334 grams of marijuana, .4 grams cocaine, 43 Ecstasy pills, 15 Dilaudid pills, two Lortab pills, and $913 cash.
Central Precinct detectives charged four persons as the result of investigations on
2nd Avenue South at Peabody Street, and 4th Avenue South at Elm Street.
Persons suspecting drug activity in their neighborhoods are urged to call the police department's 244-DOPE hotline. Callers to the hotline can remain anonymous.
