The man killed early this morning in a car-tractor trailer collision on Interstate 65 has been identified as Terence Cunningham, 34, of Magnolia Boulevard.
Cunningham was driving his 2004 Pontiac Grand Am south on Interstate 65 near Trinity Lane when he rear ended a tractor trailer at 1 a.m. Traffic was stopped in the southbound lanes due to an earlier accident. Witnesses told investigators it was apparent traffic was at a standstill, but that Cunningham did not slow down before the collision. Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene.
There was no evidence of alcohol involvement at the scene.
The driver of the truck, Dennis Perkins, 59, of Bradford, Ohio, was not hurt.
