The elderly man killed last night in a single-vehicle accident in the 600 block of Brook Hollow Drive has been identified as Robert Barnes, 80, of Skymont Drive.
Barnes was driving his 1991 Ford Explorer south on Brook Hollow Road when the SUV traveled off the roadway and struck a rock culvert before flipping over and landing upside down in a creek bed. Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene.
Barnes failure to maintain control of the SUV appears to be the contributing factor to this fatal crash.
