South Precinct detectives are continuing to investigate this afternoon’s 1 p.m. shooting death of Eric Anthony Hoffman, 35, by his brother, William Mark Hoffman, 48, inside William’s 409 Dunailie Drive home.
William said he fired a shotgun blast at Eric in self-defense as Eric came at him with a knife. Eric suffered a fatal wound to his neck.
Eric lived next door at 411 Dunailie Drive.
No charges were placed against William today.
