Letters to the Chief of Police
October 31, 2007
We were on a once in a lifetime trip to the US taking 5 weeks travelling from Boston thro New York, to Cape Cod, Vermont, Niagara, Smoky Mountains thro Nasville and finishing in Memphis. Everywhere we went we were made welcome by so many lovely people but none more so than Officer Robert Campbell. We had had a great evening and were on our way back to the Hilton Hotel when we said hello and stopped to admire his motorbike. The photo opportunity he allowed us and the courtesy he showed us made our day in Nashville truly memorable and we will treasure the photos we have with him. It shows, we think, how a little courtesy and a few minutes of someones time can make such a big impression. We mentioned it to the valet parkers back at the hotel and they had nothing but praise for the police in Nashville. Certainly Robert is a fine ambassador for you and we thank him and wish him well.
