Letters to the Chief of Police

Dear Chief Serpas:
The purpose of this letter is to commend one of your officers for a kindness shown to me beyond the call of duty. I recently had a tire blow out and managed to get to a filling station/market. As I pulled in, one of your off-duty police officers, Michael Wilson, noticed and offered to assist me. He was extremely helpful in assisting me when there was no necessity for him to do so.
I only learned that he was an off-duty police officer when I introduced myself after he assisted me in placing my spare tire on my car. You and the Nashville Police Department can be very proud to have such an officer as Michael Wilson working for the citizens of Nashville.
