Crime of the Week, May 6, 2008
This week Nashville Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $1000 cash, for clues called in to 74-CRIME that help solve this robbery and shooting of the clerk at the Inglewood Mapco.
On Sunday, November 18, 2007 at approximately 5:00 in the morning, the clerk inside the Mapco store at 4134 Gallatin Pike in Inglewood, was preparing to open the store for the start of the business day. A masked man entered and demanded the money. The clerk gave the man the cash but the gunman shot the clerk anyway. After the gunman fled, the clerk was able to call for help. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The suspect was described as being a male black who was about five feet ten inches tall and around 180 pounds. At the time of the shooting he was wearing a very distinctive Mickey Mouse jacket. The jacket was multicolored and had large pictures of Mickey Mouse and Pluto on the back. East precinct detectives want anyone who knows someone with a matching jacket to call crime stoppers. The gunman may have borrowed the jacket and wore it during this crime without the owner knowing.
